Birkey's Scholarship / Internship Program

The objective of the Birkey's Scholarship Internship program is to provide scholarships to college level students who are enrolled in a curriculum that would prepare him/her for a career at Birkey's. The scholarships are awarded in the amount of $500 per semester to be paid for your Freshman and Sophomore years at a 2-year institution or your Junior and Senior years at a 4-year institution.


This scholarship gives equal weight to each of six qualifications:

     • Work Experience
     • Academics
     • Communication
     • Leadership
     • Human Relations
     • Work Ethic

With six areas of focus, this scholarship seeks to identify a diverse group of candidates from which to choose an exemplary student. A student who works his or her way through school and has average grades can score as well as a student who was not employed but was an academic star. Similarly a student who is active in his or her community can score as well as a student who is active in extra-curricular activities.
